You should be able to do it but You will need to use a WS5100 type ethernet shield as it will offload some of the software to the hardware. It will plug into the Arduino UNO, it uses pins 10,11,12,13 you…

Also perhaps be aware that the power rails on some breadboards are not continuous but instead are interrupted half way along. You may find that you need to place a jumper on your ground rail between block…

alexparker2002 Part of learning is the LEARNING part. Having someone do all the work for you is not learning, but copying . I suggest you explore the examples that are provided in the Arduino IDE. There…

The problem is the limited memory resources both SDRAM and flash. Have you looked at how much is currently used? You may want to approach this from another angle. If you tie in a Raspberry Pi 3, you can use UART to communicate and handle the higher level functions on the Pi 3 IMHO.

Perhaps take a look at this Arduino tutorial on LCD displays to get started:

Tutorial 13 for Arduino: Liquid Crystal Displays

If you want something more graphical then you could perhaps take a look at one of these type of displays:

    Resistive 4.3" GEMmodule

which off-load the graphics processing onto the display module only requiring the data updates to be sent over a UART serial connection from the Arduino.

As for the Ethernet shield, have you taken a look at:

    https://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/ArduinoEthernetShield

Tom Igoe has written an interesting book called 'Making Things Talk' which covers this sort of area, so you may want to try and get hold of a copy. The 3rd edition is due to be published soon:
