OOB Demo Fail - Serial Connection Gone

Hi all,

Just opened up my new UltraZed-EV Starter Kit and followed the QuickStart Guide Instructions for getting the Out of Box Demo with a blinking light flashing.

Only problem is neither Terra Term nor PuTTy show any data over the connection as described, and there's no blinking light. I triple checked that all the switches were right, drivers downloaded, bit rate and other settings were correct, but I can't seem to resolve the issue. Any thoughts or tips on how to rectify the situation? Thanks!

Hi there,

Also, make certain the boot switches are set properly. If you are not careful, I have seen some customers have the inverse of what the switches SHOULD be set to.

Hi there,

Going along with my previous suggest, you can also try to download one of the latest test images to see what is what.
The easiest is to just pop on the SDCARD the Vitis (Prebuilt With Example):
http://avnet.me/DBA_BSPS_PLATFORMS_2019p2

You can just extract that to the provided Delkin SDCARD
You can also test the Vitis image if you wish:
cd /run/media/mmcblk1p1
export DISPLAY=:0.0
export XILINX_XRT=/usr
./uzevvadd.exe binary_container_1.xclbin
