FPGA Kickstarter for BeagleBone & RPi

fustini
fustini over 11 years ago

I backed a couple Kickstarters yesterday which I thought might be interest to some here:

LOGi FPGA Development Board for Raspberry Pi - Beaglebone by Valent F(x) — Kickstarter

10 days left

LOGI, when FPGA meets community supported ARM platforms...

the LOGi-family of FPGA boards, designed to interface, enable and greatly expand the functionality of Raspberry Pi’s and Beaglebone Black’s community supported development platforms...

library of free to use, open source IP’s that implement a wishbone master from the host processor (GPMC based for the Beaglebone Black), a set of wishbone peripherals (wishbone-registers, wishbone-memory, wishbone-fifo …) and a set of interface peripherals (servo-controller, pwm-controller, ad-controller, pid-controller …). These IP’s allow a user to spend more time having fun realizing their concept, and less time searching for answers to their interfacing questions.

Io-1 -  A True LPT Parallel Port Cape For The Beaglebone. by Justin Carlson — Kickstarter

25 hours left

LPT cape provides a way to connect 5 volt external hardware over a standard 25 pin D-SUB connector [...] the cape is fully compatible with Linux LPT driver allowing standard printers and scanners to be used [...] even EMC2 (LinuxCNC) for CNC machine applications. This allows the Io-1 to run on Beaglebone with almost identical timing to PC platform... FPGA on GPMC bus.

cheers,

drew

I noticed the LPT one (perfect for network-enabling old hardware), it's a real shame it looks like it may not reach it's goal :-(
