A new post from Make covers a talk about FPGA daughterboards for Linux SBCs:
Embedded Linux Meets FPGA Capes | MAKE
Andy gave a talk at Maker Faire New York’s Electronics Stage, and shared his enthusiasm for embedded Linux boards like the BeagleBone and Raspberry Pi. His robot is based on the BeagleBone Black and has a Valent F(x) LOGi FPGA development boardadded. An FPGA is a reprogrammable circuit that helps Linux talk to hardware. For example, a FPGA board could interpret a motor encoder’s high-clock-rate data much better than the processor alone.
