How to change HDMI output resolution

Question

Hello All,

I use the official Debian image (Image V1.1.1.r10)

I'd like to change the resolution to 4K60 (or any except 1080p) therefore I changed the weston.ini, but it looks like I can not override the output section only:

I modified to:

[output]

name=HDMI-A-1

mode=3840x2160@60

force-on=true

After reboot:

[output]

name=HDMI-A-1

mode=1920x1080@60

#transform=90

What did I do wrong?

Hi labi, Looking into this I was successful in changing my resolution to 720p. I unfortunatly don't have a 4k monitor on hand to try it at 4k. I followed the following info and applied it to the MaaXboard https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_display_on_HDMI In particular i modified the weston.ini file mode section and then restared the system using systemctl restart weston let me know if this helped

The resolution is dynamic, unless you make it static using cmdline input under /boot directory.
