So I bought a while ago a BB-VIEW 7" and tried it out because I had a project in mind but had issues with the poor documentation and the fact I was borrowing a BBB at the time.
I've bitten the bullet and got a new BBB recently but the documentation really hasn't improved much - an hour and a half later I have a mostly working touchscreen running on debian. But of course the kernel provided by e14 breaks the ethernet in favour of the touchscreen *facepalm*
Note that I have run the touchscreen calibration multiple times, and the problems with the touchscreen persist.
But I'm really finding the touchscreen is on the face of it, pretty terrible. The top of the screen where the window bar is (worse on angstrom & gnome 2 alikes the main menu bar!) is almost unreachable, and there's a complete dead area of about half a window title height. Toward the middle of the screen the click point is off by the entire height of the cursor and if you hold with a stylus, the cursor wobbles and dances around where you press.
Am I alone, is this simply a one off and I should return or is the touchscreen across the board this bad?
