The compact Luminary Micro Stellaris Intelligent Display Module (MDL-IDM28MDL-IDM28) offer a complete graphical touch-screen user interface solution for control, automation, and instrumentation applications. Featuring a 2.8" QVGA 16-bit color LCD resistive touch panel display and Taking full advantage of the vast connectivity features included in the integrated Stellaris LM3S6918LM3S6918 microcontroller, the MDL-IDM28 offers full 10/100 Ethernet connectivity, which can serve as a standard system network connection for monitoring and control and as a reprogramming interface to update module firmware in the field.
In addition to the 256K of single-cycle Flash memory and 64K of single-cycle SRAM available within the integrated LM3S6918LM3S6918 microcontroller, the Intelligent Display Module also includes a 168K of display buffer memory, an SD Card interface, additional serial connectivity options, an audio transducer, a relay output, and four analog measurement inputs. Also, the MDL-IDM28MDL-IDM28 can be powered with a standard 24 V DC power supply or through 5 V DC terminals.
The MDL-IDM28MDL-IDM28 feature additional serial connectivity options for easy implementation as a Human Machine Interface (HMI) touch display panel in an embedded control device. The Stellaris IDMs are the first display modules available with efficient performance and robust integration of an ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller, positioning the modules into building access controllers and security systems, intelligent white goods and home appliances, thin clients, and factory automation applications.
