The K7 MID is from OpenSourceMID.org which is an open portal to provide support and discussions for open source MID projects. K7 is a low-cost, high-performance handheld Mobile Internet Device (MID) featuring Texas Instruments' OMAP3530OMAP3530 ARM Cortex-A8 core processor with, wireless connectivity, touch screen control, GPS navigation systems and integrated power management with battery backup. It can support for both Android and Windows CE operating systems and would be a complete solution that addresses all of the user’s multimedia and communication needs on a single platform.
K7 is offered as tablet developer's edition and provided with source code and schematic. User can join OpenSourceMID.org community to share their technical information. To pool our ideas, we may find a solution, OpenSourceMID expect to have more great ideas with all community members.
OMAP3530OMAP3530 high-performance, applications processors is based on the enhanced OMAP 3 architecture. The OMAP 3 architecture is designed to provide best-in-class video, image, and graphics processing. This OMAP device includes state-of-the-art power-management techniques required for high-performance mobile products. OMAP3530OMAP3530 device is available in a 515-pin PBGA package (CBB suffix) and a 423-pin PBGA package (CUS suffix). Some features of the CBB package are not available in the CUS package.
