There are a few obvious bugs in version 6:
Schematic editor loading with a grid of 0.1", no matter how many times you tell it you want 0.05".
Parts not dropping where you let them go, i.e. jumping a grid place over.
Random connecting / not connecting when you drop a part on the end of a net.
But the biggest is the random changing of other nets that are not intended to be changed. If I have one page of nets called "DIGIN_0" through to "DIGIN_15", and I copy this to another page and rename the nets to "DIGIN_16" through to "DIGIN_31", then all looks good. I like the feature of "Just change this segment" - it's simple and useful.
When you re-open Eagle though, the two schematic pages have the same net names, i.e. both pages have nets "DIGIN_16" through "DIGIN_31".
The PCB however has the correct netlist information, so Eagle reports an error.
Specifically:
Error:
line 7777, column 9: redefinition of name 'DIGIN_16' in tag
This has happened three times now, each time I have lost a day and a half's work by re-entering data. Recovering saved backups only delays the problem until you re-open Eagle to be welcomed with the same message.
Having paid over £1200 for a three-seat license, I feel a little annoyed.
Can I go back to Version 5 with my new license?
