No air wires connected to some parts.

selected through Control Panel (Options>Backup). As Jorge said, once

synchronization is lost, Forward/Backwards annotation is lost.

Hi Rick,

That's the behavior when consistency is loss, board and schematic will

no longer track each other. Before doing anything else you should regain

consistency otherwise you'll just be digging yourself deeper into a hole.

Maybe a bit more history would help.  A while back, I generated a pcb from the schematic, but I wanted to make a few changes.  I wanted to replace parts, but they wouldn't replace correctly on the PCB.  I was told this was a known Eagle issue and that they were working on it.  I went on to make other changes.  I deleted my original PCB because the changes were too extensive.  After I got the schematic just how I wanted it, I created the PCB again.  This is when the above mentioned problem popped up.

No, that's not it.  I'm aware that they both have to be open.  From the schematic, I created the board.  As I moved the parts onto the board, a few caps didn't have air wires attached.  I thought that was weird, and thought I'll have to go back to the schematic and make sure these parts are really connected there.  I saved it and closed it last night.  I did not do anything in the schematic after closing the PCB, as it was late.  I closed one, then the other.  When I opened them this morning, I had this problem.

Marco is right.  I had the same thing happen to me.  The only way I

could recover was to delete the parts and re-add them.

Perhaps you closed the layout window and then changed the schematic.

Take care to mantain both windows opened.
