Eagle 5.0.0 crashes randomly in WinXP

I downloaded and installed 5.2 after having no issues with the Beta 5.1.3

version.  I now get the following error.

Application Error: Eagle: Eagle.exe

New update.  I have been running with Beta version 5.1.3 for several days

with no crashes.  My only concern right now is that I am using a Beta

version to fiinish my production boards which I need to order on Monday.

I have no choice though unless a release comes out before then, my

customers don't much care why a project is behind, just that it's late.

 

Thanks for all of the suggestions, even though this had nothing to do with

my hardware, it's good to verify that end once and awhile anyway.

Did you already try the current beta version as Mr. Schmidinger

suggested in his answer before?

Sounds awfully hardware related.  Get a copy of "Memtest @

memtest.org" and run it overnight.  Just rules out memory errors !

Well at least that rules out the most common cause of program

malfunctions, bad memory/ram !

Does this kind of problem happen with any other applications ?

Particularly if recently installed.

Assuming that it does then other possibilities are the PSU and heat.

These would be my next things to check.

What type of information do you need from us to help you resolve this. We

have to get this fixed, I've lost so much time with this issue with losing

15-20 minutes worth of work each time.  Please advise.

Please test whether this problem still persists with the latest

beta version 5.1.1 (see http://www.cadsoft.de/betatest.htm).
