I'm confused about adding NETS

I'm confused, should I be using the Wire command to connect components in the schematic or using the Net command. One tutorial says use wire, another says use net. I tried a small schematic using both and then converted the schematic to a board and all wire showed up. I guess I don't understand the difference. Any help would sure be appreciated because I think i am trying to make this more difficult that it should be.

    The command names in Eagle are perfectly logical.  WIRE is used to draw

    lines except when they respresent wires, then you use NET.

    Jeff, Also be advised that CUT doesn't cut - it copies.

    I'm also learning - I understand the explanation and agree that for

    electrical connections NET is more convenient with "Auto End" and "dot on

    junctions" but at the end of the project is there does not appear to be any

    electrical difference in fact if I draw a new wire by itself then another

    wire to connect into an existing NET it gives the option of using the new

    Net$ name or adopt the name of the N$n to which we are connecting.

     

    So in summary it would appear that if I had earlier in a project used wire

    then I don't need to go back & redraw as long as the N$n ar correctly

    connected.

     

    Well that it how I see it and welcome comment.

     

    This was an excellent question to be raised in the first place.
