Hello,
I'm trying to make my first PCB in Eagle, and I have been running into two problems which I think may be related.
I'm using surface mount components, and with some of my parts, I can not get the program to recognize that a trace is connected to the pad. I am testing if devices are connected by picking up the component after placeing the trace and rotating it to see if the end of the trace "sticks" to the pad. Sometimes they do and other times they don't, which leads to all sorts of ERC errors (it says the schematic and PCB are inconsistent).
The second problem, which I'm pretty sure is being caused by the first issue, is that I'm getting many DRC Overlap and Stop Mask errors and the points where my traces and pads are supposed to connect (which suggests to me that the program things I'm trying to route the trace on top of the pad instead of connecting to it).
Is there a way for me to get the traces to "snap" to the pad when I try to make a connection?
Thanks
