Why is DesignLink not working? It appears to be constantly "Under Scheduled Maintenance".

I have sent 3 emails to Farnell support but nobody has replied, except to say they think it is an issue with Eagle, which I don't think it is (unless the URL or API has now changed and a new DesignLink ULP is required).

 

I am using Eagle 5.11 and I can't find any updated DesignLink ULP, so assume I have the latest. The version number "1.0.7" is in the designlink-order.ulp file.

 

The error given in the DesignLink ULP is :

 

Error while accessing 'https://uk.farnell.com/pffind/services/SearchService': 

 

6 SSL handshake failed

 

If you put that URL in a browser you get a page saying the site is "Under Scheduled Maintenance".

    I have solved this with the help of Farnell in the UK! The issue appears to be that the Eagle 5 SSL built in to the ULP library no longer works with the SSL used on the API servers. We have proved this…

    Hi Dom,

     

    I hope you're doing well. I'll look into this and see what's going on.

    If it started doing this today, give it another day or two to see if it

    really is just maintenance going on.

     

    Let me know what happens, in the meantime I'll raise the red flag here.
