How do I create a label on a net

Question

I'm happy in naming nets so that they join up but is it possible to create little "tags" or "labels" on the pins as in this example below?

Andy, mistery solved !!! You (and me too) were wrong as we was searching for a "label", something different than the net's name. Instead Eagle try to be flexible but as much as possible linear in every feature. Observing the things in this way, first of all it is almost logic that if the nets has the name property, giving the option to connect them logically keeping the integrity of the wires routing in the layout side, the solution should be searched just there: in the net name . After this the procedure is very simple: Select the label button in the vertical toolbar of the schematics view At this point the top horizontal button bar shows the net naming options. The immeditate two buttons to the right of the selectable layer dropdown list, you can decide if you want the label appearing along the wire or at the end as shown in the image below. Note that exactly as the other (default) kind of label you can move the cursor before confirming to decide where it should be positioned (hopefully to one of the end of the wire) as shown in the examples below.

I had the same problem too. Naming the nets is useful and I use this method just to have the right coherence in while routing the PCB layout with the advantage to make blocks on the schematics. Well, I usually name the nets, then I put the "name" feature on the wire. It seem that the tag labels are components of the Eagle library but it is a lot I have not used them so I don't remember what library is. At least this is the method I have used when I needed. Maybe there is a script of a function easier but I don't know. Interesting discussion for all I think.
