THT Pad with two drills

You are onto the right path. You may want to apply both a cream and a

stop polygon. Stop to expose the copper, cream for the paste mask if

manufactured by a factory. Think how you want it to look at the other

side of the pcb as well. You may want to apply cream and paste there as

well.

I would use a VIA (if you draw on board) or a PAD (if you draw in the

library). You may want to disable stop/cream for these VIA's or PAD's

but it is probably not needed.

If you draw PAD's in a library, you can connect the PADs from the

connect function in the device editor, so they become one pin. If you

draw VIAs on a board, you just name them (via's and polygon) the same

name to merge as one signal.

Hey,

thank you for the fast advice! This was very helpfull. So what i did is:

I created a polygon in the package lib and placed two pads inside. As well I did add the cream and stopp shapes on the top and bottom side!

Maybe I just have a misunderstanding of the GERBER Data. I'm worried if it is normal that i cannot see the drills on the top side?

The result looks fine. The gerbers will not fill copper over plated

holes like pads or vias. The bottom side (if used) will end up with a

rest-ring. It looks to me that you have set the restring very small and

this will upset the pcb manufacturer. Check your DRC settings for this

parameter. It may also grow outside your polygon edge on the top layer

if set too large.
