    Hi Chris,

Tim is correct, ExpressPCB uses a closed proprietary format which EAGLE nor any other ECAD program can import. The only real option if you want to have the design in EAGLE is to recreate them from scratch.

I won't try to speak for Eagle, but we use both at my shop, and our understanding is that ExpressPCB files are in a fairly proprietary format and cannot be used with any other ECAD system.

    Hi,

I've been prototyping in expressPCB software and would like to try to move the design into EAGLE.  Is there a way to do this?  I'm not finding it if there is.

    Thanks,

    Chris King

Hi Jorge, I guess I'd become so used to dealing with single sheets that I missed the option in the print dialog. I answered my own question here.

    Thanks,

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

Double check the settings in the Print dialog, I tried with a 10 page schematic and was able to get all of the schematic sheets into the PDF. There's no need for a ULP, make sure that you select the All option under the sheets section.

    Hi Jorge,

Using the File-> Print and output to PDF creates a PDF of the current sheet only, not the 3 I have setup. I wonder if there's a ULP to allow me to output this, although I'd see it as pretty core functionality.

    Any further advice welcome.

    Thanks,

    Andy

    Jorge,

Thanks, I was trying to keep all of the attributes assigned to the resistors

intact.. it turns out the replace command works fine.

    Cheers

    Hi Andy,

As far as I know File-> Print with the printer set to be Print to File(PDF) should allow you to print a multi-page pdf.

Let me know what you've been doing and maybe I can provide more useful information.

    hth,

    Jorge

    Hi Mostcosmos,

I hope you are doing well. What happening here is that because you have that pin set as a power pin EAGLE expects a supply symbol to be connected to it and not a net(I'm almost certain you have net connected to it), that's why EAGLE flags the warning. Feel free to ignore it, it won't create any problems on your finished board.

    hth,

    Jorge

    Hi Wouter,

Right now the best way is to not save the autorouter's work, as you already know. Once saved there's isn't an easy way to take remove the autorouter's work.

Hopefully, version 6 will provide a better solution to this problem.
