    The operating system is Windows 7.

    I´ve  configured in the control panel-> firewall to allow Eagle v6.1.0 to  comumnicate through Window´s firewall but it still doesn´t work, so it  must be another problem.

    Hi Xabi,

    I don't have a solution for this yet. The problem is that we can't reproduce it here. I will keep an eye on this and inform you as soon as there is a solution or news about this.

    Regards,

    Richard

    Hello Dusan,

    I will forward your request to our development team. I second your statement that an USE button would be more valuable than Drop. We will think about this.

    Regards,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,

    Has the eagle V6 problem of :

    "attribute 'deviceset' references undefined object"

    Been solved yet? We have 3 design engineers not able to open their schematics. Pretty frustrating and costly.

    Thanks,

    Thijs

    Hello Richard,

    thanks. There are only few thinks that annoy me in Eagle, this one is not

    one of them. One of them is the ADD command, which in its menu contains Drop

    button, which in my opinion is not very important there, while much more

    useful would be Use button, because when you realize that the demanded

    element is not in the used libraries, you have to close ADD, run Use and

    then invoke ADD again. I think Use really was in the ADD submenu in old

    versions (don't remember exactly, perhaps 3.x or 2.x) and then it was

    dropped in some upgrade.

    Regards

    Hi Dusan,

    I forwarded your message to our development team. I think it was dropped unintentionally.....

    Thank you for your input.

    Regards,
    Richard

    Do  I really need to make 3 separate devices for the 3 connectors and  then  manually place them during board layout? That is a bit of a pain  when  having to move the device around.

    Hi Nikolaj,

    yes you have to place the three  connectors separately. I supose you need the exact position of the connectors, so you can use coordinates for exact placement.

    This can look like this: After creating the board you have to MOVE the connectors to their positions

    MOVE CON1 (23.3 22.4)

    Afterwards you can lock it:  LOCK CON1

    If this is a process which has to be done for several layouts you could write a script:

    MOVE CON1 (23.3 22.4);

    LOCK CON1;

    MOVE CON2 (25.3 22.4);

    LOCK CON2;

    MOVE CON3 (29.3 22.4);

    LOCK CON3;

    Regards,

    Richard

    Hi Xabier,

    but my error is a "handshake error".

    could it have something to do with your Firewall settings. The DesignLink connection is a secure https connection. Maybe that the Firewall blocks there something. What's the operating system you are using?

    Regards,

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

    the Properties (Info) window for Pads / Vias in v.6.x.x doesn't show the actual Pad/Via diameters as it did in v.5.x. As the 6.0 manual (p.141) says it should, I would like to ask if this information was deleted intentionally or not
