How to get a better display when use "show" command highlight a wire or a part?

Hello!

In the schematic editor of EAGLE, "show"  is one of most commonly used commands, but it is not very clear when a wire or a part that be highligt or not highligt.

how to set colors can get better effect ?

someone think if it can be flash on highlight object would be better. maybe it is difficult for eagle .

在使用 show 命令时,原理图中元件、连线的高亮对比并不明显,如何设置可以得到明显的对比效果呢?

当然,如果能够使show的对象闪烁最好。

Making an object flash when it is highlighted by command SHOW? It's really a good idea, but it seems EAGLE does not support it, I think you need a ULP to make that function happen.

As of now, I don't think it is possible to highlight different nets with different colors or even change the colors what EAGLE highlights with. In an ULP, you can use only the show command which will again use the standard colors for highlighting. If you need to highlight an entire class of nets, there is an ULP called "showclass.ulp" which highlights the nets belonging to a certain class.

Probably you could play around with the  black/white background in the schematic or board. For example: the highlighted nets show up much brighter on a white background than a black one on the board.

    Best Regards,

    Jaya

Good news, Mr. Hua! I found a ULP named xfind.ulp on the official website and I think it's helpful for searching an object in Schematic and PCB layout, although it can not make the targeted wires or parts flash, it does present a better result than that of using  SHOW command. Please see the attached ULP, and take a look!

    Hello,

you could either use the SHOW command with the @ option in order to find an object, or you could define a bright highlight color. The SHOW command can look like this:  SHOW @ IC1   In this case EAGLE will draw a pointer to the object and draw a rectangle around it.

For defining another highlight color go to the Options/Set/Color menu and change the color settings. For details please take a look into the EAGLE manual, chapter 5, Color Settings.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Richard

Yes, EAGLE can also do this way.

maybe I didn't explain my real means, sorry.

I want show a wire or net or component between the board editor and schematic editor. do not to find some element.

In board editor, all is ok, because I use black color background; but in schematic editor, I use white color as backgound, so the highligh isn't easy to view, contrast is not strong.

I am not good in the color selection, not have vision problem image

btw, since often check between the schematic and board,  once I switch different sheet of schematic, the SHOW command will stop. I feel here is a bad operating.

You mean you want to make a strong contrast between the highlighted objects and non-highlighted ones in a schematic with white color background?

Yes, Once you switch between various sheets of a schematic, the "show" command is deactivated. But if you highlight a certain net on the board first and then switch to the schematic the "show" command is still active,  and the same nets shows highlighted on the schematic too, provided you have both the windows opened. But, doesn't work vice versa that is,  if you highlight a net on the schematic first and then switch to the Board, the show command gets deactivated.
