pick and place in circuit studio

Hello,

Is it possible to add the schematic's "value" to one more column in "pick and place" file?

I need it for my pick and place machine.

It serves to assemble sames components together.

For example all resistor of footprint 0805 and 1K value together in same place in pick and place machine.

The other solution is to concatenate the "pick and place" file and Bill Of Materials manually, but lot of mistake.

Thanks.

I don't believe there any any options to add additional data to the pick and place file. However the comment field is included in the file so it may be possible to use the comment field.

    It's a good idea.

I have test it, I have change all comment in schematic to =Value.

In PCB, I have clicked to component link and update, it says link update.

But, if I click to a component in PCB, the comment has not changed.

I have test the pick and place file generation, but effectively, the comment have not changed.

It is a bug in the component Links command ?

    Thanks.

Thanks for posting your progress. The component link command is designed to ensure that CircuitStudio can match up the components on the schematic and PCB. This is different to the Update PCB command which actually passes across any changes. Running the component link command first means means that the Update PCB command has the best change of updating everything without error.
