  • I would use my Raspberry Pi 5 for many things, but the thing I want to use it for most right now is as a long-term timelapse camera, I do not have a Raspberry Pi at home and would love to use it to get it to capture a photo every several hours or days depending on how long the term is to be able to film things like plants growing, rust forming or my yard changing over time due to mowing, grass growing or my dog digging holes, I think this would be cool because that way I can see things happen over long periods of time that you can't usually see and the reason I want to use a raspberry Pi 5 is for the camera is because it is so hardy which means I can just write a script and have it run in the background for a long period of time, saving the photos onto the SD card and I won't have to worry about it like I would a $700 camera because it is purpose built.

  • I have several projects that I’ve wanted to get a raspberry pi for! I’ve wanted to build a homeassistant server. I’ve thought of implementing a pi-hole DNS server/filter. i recently won some RF modulators and want to try and build a server that broadcasts my own TV station using VLC on the pi to play media from my Plex library. Also, I have a 3D printer, so setting up octoprint on a pi and connecting it directly to my printer would be a great use! 
    So many projects I can think of! All made better by the Pi 5’s better specs! Thank you for the consideration!
