What Will You Do With Your New Raspberry Pi 3?

Had my RaspPi 1B since Spring 2013. Recently got: (a) RaspPi 3, (b) 7" Touch Screen, (c) SmartiPi Case (w/ Lego Noobs on left of 7" display) and (d) Bitscope. I got (a-c) working together and will use my Dremel Tool and a 90 degree HDMI Adapter to gain access to the RaspPi 3 HDMI Port. IDK whether you Aussies out there are Familiar w/ Peter Dalmaris? AAR he hosts short courses on udemy.com. This is a PAY ($$) MOOC site He is introducing a NEW course "RaspPi: Make a workbench automation computer". I will take his course and incorporate ideas gotten there in my fore-mentioned Setup. But on my 29FEB16 Post on this Thread, I pondered the possibility of RaspPi Zero w/ RTC and add-on BT (BlueTooth and Battery, as a possible platform of a RaspPi IOT. As a better alternative to Win10 IOT. We shall see?

BTW just this Friday I purchased a RaspPi Zero (one that has Camera Connector) for $0.99. (US Dollars). at a Retail Store in NYC.

To CM: Yes, it was the MC at 850 3rd Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11232. Surprisingly this MC has a large selection of Piece parts, Not like the MC closer to me in Queens County, NY. AAR I was NOT able to find a molded-Right-Angle -male-HDMI- female-HDMI-Adapter. They had a Dongle version, but tolerances are tight in my use of the adapter to free the HDMI port in the SmartiPi Enclosure. I DID find a useful Y-cable. I have an Intel NUC5i7RYH, which (like laptops nowadays) have only One Phono Jack. I don't have a manual for this box, but have reason to believe this Jack is 3.5mm 4-conductor. AAR this Y-cable has a 4-conductor plug and two (2 or 3 conductor) Jacks (one Pink-microphone?, and one Light-Green-Headphones?) AAR I need such a cable on my NUC to take the audio feed from the Headphones Output and connect it to the Mic input. I use a M-M 3.5mm 3-conductor patch cable. This is required when I try to capture a Streaming Audio-ONLY Feed, using Audacity. WTF?

BTW such Such a physical patch is Not needed when I am recording a Video Stream via HyperCam OR RealPlayer. As an IP Attorney, I can guess that Audacity does NOT want to be sued for Contributory Copyright Infringement. Audacity is risk-adverse (and rightfully so), that they do NOT supply an .mp3 encoder w/i Audacity.  BTW2 check-out wbai.org and stream the PCRadioShow (.org) which is on Wed evenings 8pm to 9pm. You can Stream anytime Past the (Live) Air'ing of the Show. They used to have downloadable .mp3's but No More.

I used to work in IT at the US Company AT&T; We used to say"My phone works" I ditched my (Worse-er NOT Better) Half about ten years ago. Best move in my Life.
