What Will You Do With Your New Raspberry Pi 3?

I'm a singer/songwriter and due to my age, my recalling song lyrics is not as good as it use to be. This product is intriguing to me as it is small, light weight as well as powerful. I want to be able to place my lyrics and backing tracks on it in use during live performances. I do this now with an IBM Lenovo Ideal Pad (Laptop) OS Windows XP  where I have built my own wireless foot switch controller for hands free live stage performances. If the Raspberry Pi3 can store video content on it's memory card and reset the mouse control functions, then this will be ideal for me. Any one have any thoughts on this application?

Hey John, great idea! I'm not sure I've much advice on the actual build, but it put me in mind of a pub I was recently in (in Nottingham) that had a piano player. Not something you see very often these days!

Anyway, he had a tablet on the piano that he was reading music from, and the app turned the pages automatically by listening to the music he was playing and responding to it. I thought it was quite brilliant!

Agreed!  I love music and composition projects for Raspberry Pi. Perhaps starmaster can include The ABC Plus project interface with his experiment. There is a large amount of existing music source available.

Thanks. I checked it out, too large and detailed on screen for my application. A friend lent me his version 1 Raspberry PI B to play with. It has LibreOffice Impress which is similar to MicroSoft PowerPoint. How ever, LibreOffice Impress did not "impress me" in comparison to MS PowerPoint. The best features of MS PowerPoint was not included in LibreOffice Impress which I desperately needed. (I installed LibreOffice on my Lenovo and attempted to set it up as I did MS PowerPoint) In addition, would not run my MS PowerPoint in auto mode as my Lenovo (Windows XP OS) does. And I learned that LibreOffice Impress does not have Auto Play nor and Auto Play Viewer which would be PERFECT for my application on the Raspberry. If these things were possible, I know for fact, thousands of musicians would flock to this transforming their ability for hand free music books for on stage performances dramatically.

My goal: to be able to set up at any Open Mic Show with my entire music book library at my toes (foot switch operate page turner) in seconds, not minutes. Have the set up small, light wieght and totally battery operated with a single Blue Tooth Audio connection. The true meaning to "Plug & Play".

I have already created my sound effects, on board audio mixer for my mic and guitar, now, I need my computerized song book and I have it all.
