Wow, its that 30c per donation that's going to nail you, if loads of people donate a small amount, then they get a significant chunk
so what does that make me... what was before the dinosaurs ??
Totally agree, A Raspberry PI and an Arduino will provide years of learning if you're at the beginning of the curve and prepare you for better jobs in the future (Unless you want to be part of the "GEEK SQUAD"
)
And you can get both for under 100$ (Total), a second hand USB keyboard and Mouse, plug the PI into our TV and your off, everything software wise for PI and Arduino are free and you can use the PI to program the Arduino
Large donations or small ones, everyone still will have the same percent go towards GoFundMe.
read a little more, there are the fixed percentages and then there is a fixed 30c per donation on top of that. for a coffee donation (1$ - 2$) this represents 15 - 30% ...
Alright I see what you are saying. Yes $0.30 out of small donations could possibly be more than the percent taken from the donation alone.

Building a custom computer is fun, but not very educatnial. Fixing broken computers tell you so much more. In repairing you can learn how to install and remove parts and when you don't know how to remove the parts you learn how to research the internet to find how to remove it. In diagnosing the computer you learn what parts causes problems such as a bad memory stick can cause the monitor not to display a image. To build a computer most websites have a program to check your parts to make sure there are no conflics.
