I pre-ordered RPi from Farnell Export...

Is that £26.55 a full price with shipping for Croatia, or?

Also, is my credit card charged immideately, or?

Like so many of us I got up early, switched on my Mac and tried to order a Pi this morning. Somehow after quite some time I managed to get my order placed. Later today I recognized everybody else was talking about a different product number. Min was 2081347 and the support told me it was a wrongly placed product.

My order got deleted and I was advised to go to the website and sign up to show my "interest" in the RPi.

I don't have to tell you that I'm a little bit disappointed. I understand that today was difficult for everyone of us, but you just don't tell a customer that you made a mistake, kick him out of line and place him at its end.

There was a very slight chance to get a Pi today and it's okay I missed on it. There was a bigger chance to at least get my order placed and that's what I did. But eben this small victory has been taken away from me

So, question:

When will Farnell start producing Model B RPis and when approximately will they be ready for sale?

I appears I was also affected by this, although this is the first I've heard of the product being pulled. What happened? I was a bit surprised by the price when I was purchasing the product[1] ($55.50 AUD for a $35 USD computer?). My order is currently in the "processed" state. I'm confused as to what's happening. Will I get this product or not?

I'd much prefer to purchase the $29.68 AUD unit[2], as it's almost half the price, but will I be put back to the end of the queue? This is very unfair as I was trying to purchase the product for about one and a half hours due to the website being down. This was handled very badly.

Edit: The status just changed to "Back Order", so it's still not "Cancelled". If I'm waiting the same amount of time as others to get the product I'd prefer to pay the $29.68... I'm wondering, is the additional $22.85 for shipping? It doesn't mention anything about shipping costs on the order.

I only got the Raspberry Pi right when it came out because I wanted one from the first batch! If the USA compliance testing causes delays making staying up for hours to buy  one from the first batch wasted time, I'm going to be mad.

Rant over, but why would this sort of thing even be considered? Ship by which batch someone ordered from, at least the first one or two of batches. That way, even if someone ordering off of the 2nd batch doesn't get one from the 2711th (in hex) pi, they'll still get one from the first E.G. 4E20 (if one more batch of 10k) rather than one from the first 1 86A0 pi's.

Would you (or anyone else) be so kind to give me some information regarding the availability of model B?

The page stated that it will be possible to place orders (or at least register I guess) on 5th July. I was constantly

hitting F5 from 0:00 till early afternoon, when the post changed and now it sais "Opening to orders soon", but it still not

possible to place order or register for interest.

Is it possible to know when will it be open?

Because if it is 2-3 weeks than I stop refreshing the page every 15 minutes.

@Vedran: One of the comments posted on the FAQ page that Jenny linked cites a question and answer that was either obtained from elsewhere or alternatively that has now been deleted from the FAQ:

• Q. I’ve placed an order. Will I be charged?
• A. We won’t take any payment until we actually despatch your order.

Since you are asking the same question, perhaps we will see it appear (again?) in the FAQ sometime.

Be that as it may, I can confirm (from my own bank statement) that at least in the UK, Farnell is not charging until the Pi is sent out for delivery.  This I feel is very fair and honest of them.

Very disappointingly, RS have stated that they will charge when the order is placed, despite citing delivery times of over 2 months.  This is not fair of them in my view, because there is no exchange of value until the time it leaves their possession and is  sent into yours.  What's more, in effect the interest is raising the price higher than the one which they officially quote.  It's not a very nice practice.

Hi, i have registered my interest. After few days I have received an email to place the order.

Today, when I put my order, I have clicked in Submit Order button, so I think I have placed the order correctly.

The problem is, I don't have received any confirmation of that, no email, nothing appear on the screen...

I don't have any order information.

I would like to know if the order are or aren't correctly inserted.

I have started a discussion with this question, but no one from support team answer me...
