Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a case for the Model B?

    Hello,

I've looked through the posts, but I haven't found any case under 5 USD (3 GBP). Does anyone have any suggestion?

    Thanks!

Its not under $5, but at $6.39, its pretty cost affective.

Plus you can get it when you order the board.

Thank you Haas, but I saw the rating below, and I saw the video of it. I thougt that the board will slide when you connect something. It is just confirmed me. So thank you again, but any other one?

Josiah, that has to be the most butt-ugly enclosure I have ever seen! That is _really_ just.... ugly!

Roland, I would say that the cheapest would probably be the LEGO solution. You can probably get a job-lot of bricks either from a yard sale or car boot sale (or nearest local equivalent used stuff sale) and make your own.

The alternative is to use one of the print-it-on-paper-yourself templates and print it onto decent quality card, or maybe transfer the design to model board, and make one yourself?

Alternatively, you could try my solution if you can find something similar of the same size. The one on the left is a "Really Useful Box" with holes cut out. It cost about £1.29 which is... I guess... $2 ish?http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xm0J5VJvzpw/UA6pWOGDitI/AAAAAAAAAWM/6Lt-sW5yv0I/s1600/24072012007.jpg

David, did you get your Pi yet? If so, how did the case work out?

    Thank you Michael image

I'd rather not buy that box, it is too ugly. I wait for better solution, and order one later. Thank you.

Ps. If there is though a cheap (< 5 USD / 3 GBP) please send me a private message! Thanks.

I took pictures of an earlier version with PI installed.  This PI is owned by af friend who let me make some measurements to design the case.  I am still without PI.  It looks like it will be in the future a ways before I can tweek the case for a perfect fit.  Here's a few photos of Chuck's PI in the case.

    Hi David,

It looks nice. You may also add some holes below the CPU/GPU to be cooled.

Otherwise, will you sell one like this? If yes, the price?

It's just a guess... but does that Pi belong to CHUCK!!???!?? (Just kidding, love the engraving).

Right... think it's time for me to expand my blog to catalogue every single case I can find for the Pi...

    Now... how to do that...
