Still waiting for delivery date?

e14 Contributor
e14 Contributor over 14 years ago

Hi,

I have ordered in early april and the only thing I got so far is an ORP number (ORP019443). So I am still waiting for an expected delivery date? Can anybody provide a contact (email etc.) where I can get more information about the delivery state?

Thanks,

Franz

Here in NL, they require you to provide your business identification numbers before they let you create an account. As far as I know.

    Seems not, just tried image

However the sticky part is that your payment choices are On Account or Corporate Purchase Card. So not sure if that excludes non-business customers. Here in the UK there's the additional option of Credit / Debit Card which pretty much lets any old consumers in image

Given that a load of stuff ends up shipped from Belgium anyway you have to wonder why the differences, aren't we all part of the EU these days ?  Presumably if you order in NL it gets shipped from Leeds or Belgium regardless, so what would stop you ordering from the uk site ?   Other than some internal decision that you can't.

Hmm. My 'pi was shipped from UK (to NL).

I ordered some components yesterday. Two "your order has shipped" notices, and this morning: two packages. One from Belgium, one from Leeds. (according to tracking info).

I ordered my Raspberry on March 14th, along with a couple other items to attach to it with instructions to ship complete. I received a couple promise delivery dates and as most other people, the dates came and went with no shipment. With the theft of a credit card, I had to call Newark with a new card number. I got bounced from department to department and finally got told they couldn't do anything till the order was ready for shipping. No one seem to know how to handle this. Yesterday I received an email to call the credit department with the new number, which I did and was told that the order was ready for shipping. This morning I received my shipped confirmation email with 3 of the 4 items ordered shipped. NO RASPBERRY PI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And no expected delivery date.

What's with this company? End customers don't seem to matter to them. At this point I really don't care if I ever see a PI

Amazing. I received my PI this morning, then I received an email to confirm the shipment and now my order history with Element 14 shows order complete. I am both amazed and happy to finally have it.

We are more than happy to look into this situation for you; to do that we will just need a few pieces of information regarding your order. We will be sending you a private message momentarily so that your information is kept confidential.

And my order? I cried about it on the last three pages and nobody said anything and now, you just show on topic, pick the last claim and that is all?

There are at least 2 other claims, beside my order ORP020210.

Could you be the customer service you should be, in the first place?

    Hi All,

For those of you who are enquiring about your delivery date in reference to an ORP number, we have been sending regular delivery update emails. We will be sending further delivery updates to all recent ORP numbers. You will also receive a 'shipping confirmation' email when your Raspberry Pi has been dispatched from our warehouse. Please note we are on track to deliver all current ORP orders by late July/early August.

    Thanks
