I know this thread is year and a half old, but decided to post here, i wouldn't expected I've seen you here. I was once your student in linux class.
Btw its pretty nice your here, i thought i would be alone here too. Anyway i got my Pi just about few hours ago, and its so amazing first time i boot it and i fall inlove with my Pi.
