What is bloating the new image?

wallarug
wallarug over 12 years ago

The latest image as of today: 2012-12-16 Raspbain.

I just re-image my 2GB SD card which I have been using for ages and have re-imaged and installed all the software that I require before, has just produces an error message durring 'apt-get install program1...program32' (fill in the spaces) that I have NO SPACE ON SD CARD.

I have never seen this before with previous images.  Can anyone tell me what is new on the SD card that would be taking up all that precious free space? (new from OCT image?)

The apt-get install about is for 225mb of stuff that I use.  I have never had a problem installing all of that and then un-installing programs I don't need from there.  I remeber on the first image back in May/June, there was 311Mb of free space without un-installing or installing any programs... what has happened?

    Hi

Did you get rid of the software and the previous image on the sd card because element 14 recomends at least 2GB for the os on the card so if you did not get rid of the previous image then that may have fill the space you have.
