Definitive book on RPi GPIO?

If you're interested in utilising the GPIO port more fully, take a look at Raspberry Pi Measurement Electronic: hardware & software by Yury Magda. It's Kindle only (sadly) and can be seen at

You can view contents page and introduction (which gets as far as 'Expanding the GPIO Port with an I2C Interface') to get an idea of the book .

 

Looks like US$10.61 well spent.

(BTW, Raspberry Pi for Dummies is pretty  good too)

 

Any other recommendations?

  • I had a quick look at the Amazon link and on the basis of the pages you can read without buying it I would not recommend it. There are several typos in the few pages available (suggests the book has not been proof read) and a serious error (or bad practice according to your definitions) in a simple circuit (using  a 74HC13 as a 3.3 to 5V level shifter to drive an LED).
