Questions about Piface Rack:

My current equipment:

- Raspberry Pi B+

- Piface 2 (40 pins)

- Piface rack (26 pins)

1) can I use my Piface 2 via Piface Rack  (40 pins vs 26 pins)

2) if yes, how to configure SPI jumpers

3) if no, does it existe a Piface Rack 40 pins ?

4) if I use Rack 26 pins, can I use pins number 27 to 40  on Rpi as digital Input/Outut

Thanks

Take a look at this PiFace Shim for a discussion of what to do...

I don't think Michel's question can be assumed answered.  I can understand that the issue of using pins 27-40 on the GPIO header has been answered.

But I cannot find the answers to the question about different pin counts.

I too have a 26-pin pirack and 4 piface digital 2's which have 40 pins.

I cannot stack the piface digital 2s onto the rack because they don't fit - the jumpers get in the way.

Any suggestions for connection multiple piface 2's (up to 4) to the Pi?

    Thank you

    Joe

I would replace the 40 pin headers with stacking headers (Long ones) and Simpy stack them on each other

What are you planning on attaching to these ??, if hey ae stacked you wont have easy access to the LEDs or Buttons?

Oh, another option is to use a ribbon cable with spaced out plugs on it (Similar to an old HDD cable from an old PC)
