    Hi Nick,

     

    I'm looking for ADC wich complete this conditions :

    fully differential for 1.3Vptp signal

    common voltage 2.5V

    speed > 250KSPS

    useful resolution > 16bits

    package as small as possible

     

    Could you help me to find it ?

    Hi, Matrthieu -

     

    I assume that, by "common voltage 2.5V" you mean that you want to work with a 2.5V input common mode voltage.

     

    I have looked at a few ADCs and the only one that I have found that I am sure will suit all of your needs is the ADC161S626 from National Semiconcuctor. It is a 16-bit, 250ksps ADC that comes in an MSOP-10 package that is 3 x 5 mm in size to the lead tips. It can accomodate a 1.3V peak-to-peak input. I think you will be happy with this device.

    Hi!

    For an audio application, I am thinking about using the TI PCM1792ADB.PCM1792ADB. DAC. Its datasheet (http://focus.ti.com/general/docs/lit/getliterature.tsp?genericPartNumber=pcm1792a&fileType=pdf) suggests a schematic in Figure 36 (Page 35) for converting the differential current output to single-ended voltage output using NE5534NE5534 and LT1028 op-amps on +-15V rails.
    (a) Is it possible to reach a similar performance without the negative supply rail?
    (b) Would the  LTC6252 / LTC6253 op-amps run from 0V and 5V be a sensible choice, or should I use different op-amps?
    (c) Will I have to make larger changes in the schematic, or are the op-amps drop-in replaceable?

    Hello Spida,

    Yes, it is possible to reach similar performance without a negative supply rail, but believe that 5V is insufficient voltage for this circuit because 2Vrms output of this circuit is the same as 5.66V peak-to-peak. However, if you use a rail-to-rail op-amps and 402 Ohms for the feedback resistors of U1 and U2, you can get about 1Vrms from the circuit. However, even rail-to-rail amplifiers will distort the signal as you approach the rails, so I am not sure that you can get the same performance with them.

    Dear Sir,

    could you tell me if there is any difference between the  ADS8344EBADS8344EB and the  ADS8344EBG4ADS8344EBG4

    I can't seem to figure out the difference on TI's website.

    Both are RoHS compliant, same package, same temperature rating, same performance....

    I tried to find the answer on TI's web page and, as you said, the answer is not there. At http://focus.ti.com/quality/docs/searchbyopn.tsp?templateId=5909&navigationId=11220&orderablePartNo=ADS8344EB&pnType=A I did find an indication that the  ADS8344EBG4ADS8344EBG4 is lead free and the  ADS8344EBADS8344EB is not but everything else says they are both lead free I am still trying to find information on this and will let you know what I find

    Hi, Iam working on a kenwood ts820s ham radio, and i think i have a bad relay. I am trying to find a omron 300 ohm type mh4p tri-2. the connectors are dark and burnt looking, can you help me. Mike.

    Hello, Mike -
     
    I have tried to look up the Omron relay you called out, but was unable to find anything about it. I am not an expert in relays and suggest that you as your question of Aiman Kiwan or maybe Ronnie Haiduk. Aiman is an expert in both solid state and mechanical relays and Ronnie is an expert in solid state relays. I do not know into which category the relay you want falls.

    Alsom with burnt connectors there may be something else that caused the connectors to burn. The relay may or may not be bad.

    Hello Sukandar-

     

    I am sorry that this took me so long, but I have finally found that the "G4" suffix is left over from the days of ROHS vs. non-ROHS compliant parts and the G4 was to indicate prodouct that was ROHS compliant. Today the non G4 and the G4 parts are the same as everything is ROHS compliant.
