Interesting new "FPGA" chip

I've just discovered the Silego Greenpak parts which are tiny mixed signal programmable devices at pocket money prices with (at least for the GreenPak 3 part) full disclosure of the programming register in the NDA-free data sheet.

Need to get on with some work now so try the link for more.

Thank you for posting. It's marvelous that a vendor has finally seen the wisdom of public documents for programming their chips. Unfortunately, the parts are one-time programmable (unless I'm reading the description wrong) and pretty small -- so far.

Yes, very small and quite limited compared with "real" FPGAs but could be very nice as glue logic replacement. Good for teaching about logic design using the free graphical tool - we all get spoilt when we have 10ks of LUTs and VHDL.

I'm hoping they progress to bigger and in-ciruit reconfigurable parts.
