Hi,
I am an undergraduate student in Electronic and Communication Engineering Major and I am working on a small project of designing an embedded system to control a 3D Printer on an FPGA (DE0 board). I have been watching the videos from the Ben Heck Show about his custom-made 3D printer but these video seems to be focusing more on the mechanical and construction parts. I would like to have an insight about the electronics and embedded system parts starting from how to process the input G code to the FPGA to the signals to control the printer. I have noticed that most of the video on the Internet focus on buying the pre-developed board and join the parts together, not buying the board and developing it ourselves.
Would any one have these experience and be able to share it please?
Thank you in advances, any ideas would be welcome.
