BSP for UltraZed-EV v2018.2 Carrier Card Reference Design

Hi,

I need to download following BSP for UltraZed-EV v2018.2 Carrier Card Reference Design.

http://zedboard.org/sites/default/files/design/uz7ev_evcc_2018_2.zip

It seems download is not working in the Top Level Design Documents (UltraZed-EV Carrier Card – PetaLinux 2018.2 Enhanced BSP):

Is there any other repository where I can get this?

Thanks in advance.

    HI there,

The downloads on the .org site is going away.  You should really be looking at the support on the E14 product page.

    UltraZed-EV

    On the Reference Designs Tab.

As of this post, that also seems to have issues with Chrome.  Please use Firefox or Internet Explorer to download from the above link/tab.

I have made a request to the webteam to resolve this.

Let me know if you cannot access the file.

    Thanks for your prompt response.

Once downloaded 'UltraZed-EV Carrier Card—PetaLinux 2018.2 Enhanced BSP' using the link UltraZed-EV the corresponding file is given as 'uz7ev_evcc_sd_oob_2018_2.zip'. Is this the same as uz7ev_evcc_2018_2.zip.

    Regards

    Hi there,

I have asked the person that had those posted.

In the mean time, can you check the MD5 of the two files?

The MD5 of the uz7ev_evcc_sd_oob_2018_2.zip that I have in the archive here is 9fa830c5cf752d3dbc026f76ed8b79c5

    Hi there,

Also, just to try to be thorough, you are accessing the 2018.2 project using the 2018.2 tools?

    Thanks Dan,

I am trying to replicate the design in the following post.

    rdf0428-uz7ev-vcu-trd-2018-3/documentation/vcu_uz7ev_cc/README.vcu_uz7ev_cc-v2018.3-port.md · rdf0428-zcu106-vcu-trd-201…

Will install one of the new designs along with corresponding Vivado version if this is 2018.2 project is obsolete.

    Glad you posted that!

The 2018.2 BSP will not do what you want for that design.  Back then, the STOCK OOB design (the one you have been fighting to download / work with) did not have the proper hooks for the VCU.

You'll want to use the one that was posted in that design.

    rdf0428-uz7ev-vcu-trd-2018-3/bsps · rdf0428-zcu106-vcu-trd-2018-3 · Xilinx / ZedBoard / UltraZED-EV / avnet-uzev-ports ·…

Then, follow the instructions posted in that section.

Can I ask why you want the older design?  There is a 2019.2 and 2020.1 version.

    VCU TRD Ports · GitLab

Thanks for all your help. Older design sits well with my Vivado version. May be it is time to upgrade Vivado and use the new design:)

    Thanks again.

    HI there,

No problem.  I can understand not wanting to upgrade.  However, in this case with the VCU, I think you should - not just because we have the modded files already done, but there was improvements in the handling of the VCU through the various tool versions.
