Smart watches are connected platforms used for interacting with smartphones and potentially other connected devices to complete a variety of tasks, from retrieving SMS messages and emails to streaming music and screening calls .
It's a new product category that is redefining how wearable technology can be used, and new usage models are rapidly being developed.

Apple seems to be working on such a device and hired some experts recently and have registered the "iwatch" trademark in several countries already.
