KCON - Pi Chef Success with Google AIY!

This is just a quick update to show that we have had success!!!

 

I have a lot of pictures and notes to break down into some follow up blogs to show the details on some of the issues I ran into while trying to get KCON working.

 

Ranging from trying alternate OS loads to actually finding a cool GitHub implementation of GoogleAIY and bringing that into play to allow for more options with the KCON.

 

Seeing that a new version of Noobs had come out I was pretty sure I should add that in to allow for the greatest and latest.  But repeated failures to even get it properly downloaded should have gave me the hint that I should stay with tried and true versions.

 

Anyone interested in the GitHub AIY implementation can check out GassistPi it is quite interesting with everything he has worked in.

 

But don't worry I will be going into details on my trials to get it fully loaded and working.

Here is the latest rendition of the KCON.  As you can see we still have our Gourmet Recipe Manager.

Here is a little bit zoomed out and you can see the button activating from my talking to Google.

 

 

And here hopefully is a video showing the KCON boot up with Google Assist/GassistPi working.  From being able to ask Google questions to pulling up a Radio Station to shutting down.

 

I will be adding more blogs with more details but for now wanted to give a success!
