I am happy to announce today's Winners of the Think ON Design Challenge with
After 20+ weeks of designing,Researching, Shipping issues, Global Pandemics, Prototyping, Coding and Testing, 142 Blog Posts, 17 Videos, our Think ON Design Challenge has come to a close.
Our challengers were tasked to use the RSL10-SENSE-GEVK to create mobile monitoring devices to flex the muscles of the tiny and powerful ON Semiconductor board.
The judges have rounded up their thoughts on the projects and selected their favorites in 4 Categories.

The Winners
Overall Best Project
Grow Organic with Smart Garden and On Semiconductor
Mahmood created a inexpensive automated home garden that will allow you to grow crops 365 days a year, including hydroponic tuned lighting, moisture sensors and more.
Mahmood had issues with interfacing the RSL10-SENSE-GEVK with a OLED Display, 16 Bit ADC and I2C Expander so wrote individual blogs detailing their set up and connection the On Semiconductor board.

Winner of Wearable Or Healthcare Category
NeoSense - Neonatal Baby Breath Rate Monitor
By vishwasn
Vishwas focused their project on the deaths of new born children, we created a device to be worn on the chest of the new born children that would monitor the rate of their breathing and report any issues to the cloud. Vishwas 3D printed their own enclosure with room for velcro strapping. They also did not have access to a new born child so they used a Arduino Uno and a Micro Servo to stress test the device over time, using the movements to simulate the child's chest movements.
The code and video are available on their Git

Winner of the Smart Home Category
ON Sweet Home
Bye luislabmo
Luis created a group of amazing BLE remote sensor nodes and displayed this using Python a Raspberry Pi Display.
Luis also created his own 3D printed enclosures and video documented the entire process.
Winner of the Safety or Asset Monitoring Category
Smart 'N' Safe

Kevin Implemented Atmosphere Cloud IoT to monitor the environment around the Device, using the Application logic flow charts, IFTTT, MQTT and Adafruit.io.
This managed an alarm, Lights, Fan, AC, Motion and the Notification LEDS. This was a very convincing proof of concept, the platform works flawlessly and just needs to be physically attached to the AC system to complete the whole project. Kevin also attached a detailed video demonstrations. This project really shows the power of cross platfrom IoT and Drag and Drop logic flow. Kevin created a 3D model case and a web interface for the devices.
Kevin also gave us his thoughts with an initial unboxing video which we loved.
Honorable Mentions
These challengers really produced some amazing projects and I will be sending them a SWAG bag to thank them for their amazing projects.
Smart Module for Healthcare
by crisdeodates
Cris created a Position and Temperature Tracking project with custom interfaces. Cris even upcycled a existing fit bit style wristband.
Where Cris really shined was he detailed blogs step by step setup blog posts detailing the software involved in his projects.

Athlete Telemetry
By stevesmythe
Steve create a wrist mounted strap and used his RSL10-SENSE-DB-GEVK to track environmental data along side his Garmin device to track his sporting performance.
Steve used Golden Cheeta app to pull the data from the Atmosphere cloud and looked into using the Strava Web App API.
Honorable Mention to rsc
Scott worked hard on a Smart Pet Collar to ultimately have his older dog, Penny pass away.
The Project was intended to be used by her. We are sorry for your loss, Scott.
