The only thing missing from CodeBug in my opinion to make it a perfect wearable is a pin so it can be clipped to clothing.

Sugru and a safety pin spring immediately to mind although I am concerned that Sugru may wear in the long term.

A better solution may be a metal adhesive such as Sets like Steel or similar. A small line to hold the pin firmly in place to the battery holder will be able to withstand the rigours of everyday life for a long time to come and will not affect the battery.

Of course, the two holes at the top could be used to hold a leather band so it could be worn as a necklace.

If I had a spare CodeBug I would happily try each method and see which was the most reliable.

    Great Idea Greg!

I hot-glued a safety pin to the back of one of my Codebugs a birthday present Codebug, my 7 yr old daughter set off to school today with an animated message (and some re-programming instructions).

I have another one to glue up for the other daughter (who's birthday is not very far away) and Christmas is coming soon for Nephews and Nieces, I hope I don't run out of Hot Glue!

Just make sure she has an explanation for it. Apparently, 'it's just a clock' isn't good enough.

I told the School in advance that she would be bringing it in (more of an effort to get them to appreciate micro-controllers than an anti-bomb issue). Every time I hear them talk proudly about their I-Pads I think of how many Raspberry Pi's they could have had for the same budget and I shudder a little.

(and I'm really not a fan of I-Pads, unless someone has received an eye injury).
