I would use it as a base for a new arcade cab, the existing cab is full of old PC hardware and honestly doesn't look that great. Currently have a Pi zero in a gutted NES but it's just not the same as a full standalone cabinet

My boy is 11. I have the challenge of providing him with a basic desktop and the 4GB RPi 4 perfectly fits this need. It gives him Internet access, Linux access, he is currently learning through Udemy, and project access. This little device is magic as it enables me to provide multiple avenues of education from learning electronics, programming and operating systems. One of the side benefits is it cannot run games..... until of course, he figures out how to set up an emulator. It's a perfect little learning machine, and with some effort, you can do almost anything from controlling devices to driving robotics, to building your own drone. It's an incredible learning tool and the 4GB as a desktop gives me a kid-safe computer solution. Just add screen, keyboard and mouse.

Having recently participated in the Picasso Design Challenge, the Raspberry 4 would be perfect to address the limitations that handcuffed my original design. The 4K video would give life like display that I just could not achieve with the video output of the PI 3.

I would like to use the Raspberry Pi 4 to build a device to control and monitoring of the home automation system.

The Raspberry Pi will be used as a control center for managing the entire system.

This device will be equipped with wired and radio interfaces for communication with sensors and actuators.

The designed control system will consist of:

- Raspberry Pi computer

- RFM75 wireless transceiver working in the ISM 2.4GHz band

- SN65HVD485E RS485 transceivers

- a backup power module built on a high capacity battery

Each of the distributed modules connected to the system will consist of a microcontroller, a transceiver and additional elements (sensors, relays).

The modules will communicate with the control center via a wired or wireless connection.

This pi sounds amazing! I'd use it in several different ways! First working in holiday light displays controlling light pixels matrix, televisions splitting images to the running the entire show. Second I would use the pi 4 to build a retro arcade unit .The possibilities are endless for this powerful unit .I love that the ram has increased and can do so much.

So many possibilities of this little machine... currently running 3 raspberry pi 3b's... would try kodi and see if it could run my dvd rips perfect. Also would make a great computer for the office where I torrent and browse the internet. Also would have to try it with retropi and see how well it runs n64 games. But the other project that I've never tried yet is to build a plex server to hold all my movies instead of streaming my files from my rpi3 to my rpi2 for the bedroom kodi

There are a couple of things I would love to do with any model of the Raspberry Pi but one thing I would do with the Pi 4 is using the is make a Mini PC I could Use to livestream on. With it now the 4 Gigs of RAM it does the Pi is Plenty powerful enough to Stream on Twitch or YouTube. All the while using a Elgato to connect ether my PS4 or a future PC Down the line and not hinder the performance of ether to Stream on the Units. Of Course the other main thing I could do is using another SD Card is Make a N64 RetroPi cause it is sadly not looking like Nintendo will make a N64 Classic so why not make one for myself.

Neural Networks and Machine Learning is a trending topic in Industry now. A  lot of improvements on the training the models happened in the last couple of years. Now the trend is moving towards better inference engines on the edge ( Portable and easily deployable ). With a better processor and more RAM raspberry pi has a good future here.

I started building a smart home system in our house. Currently, an old laptop runs the Domoticz smart home server. I would like to reduce the power consumption, the size, and a Rapsberry Pi 4 would be the best solution for this.

Hello everyone, some years ago I developed a Portable Emergency push button based in other instructable projects. My project was a device with a push button that sends an SMS asking for help to my phone with GPS coordinates, for my mom when she needed help because she was very sick. With new raspberry Pi maybe I can add some nice features to this project There's no limit for imagination. I can improve this project with Wi-fi (to connect internet) and Bluetooth ( to connect to a smartphone) connections and add a little display to show info messages, thanks to new raspberry pi 4.
