Azure Sphere MT3620 Starter Kit by AVNET - how many UART?

I need to use in Azure Sphere MT3620 Starter Kit by AVNET two UART - is it possible?

3x ISU interfaces pre-configured for UART, SPI, I2C - if so how to reconfigure it?

The following info and more, has been posted as a separate blog titled:

Azure Sphere - Tips to Max-out your Avnet Starter Kit Hardware!

Clarification here on the statement that the three ISUs accessible on this Starter Kit are "preconfigured":
The limitation is the reduced number of ISU signals pinned-out of the module for support of:

    • ISU0: UART0 (4 IOs)
    • ISU1: SPI1 (5 IOs)
    • ISU2: I2C2 (2 IOs)

Within these pinout limitations, these can however be assigned as follows:

    • ISU0: use for I2C, UART or SPI
    • ISU1: use for I2C, UART or SPI
    • ISU2: use for I2C only

The table below shows in blue text the functions these ISUs are "assigned" to on the Starter Kit, followed by the alternative interfaces supported by these pins

The table below shows in blue text the functions that other GPIOs have been assigned to on the Starter Kit

TXD outputs of the two M4 dedicated UARTs are available on (unpopulated) J11 pins
These can alternatively be used for GPIO functions

For detailed information on your Starter Kit's hardware capabilities, refer to the following documents:

This should make your available options a lot clearer...  :-)
