Kit Overview Texas Instruments and element14 together present TI's Stellaris based DK-LM3S9D96DK-LM3S9D96 Development Kit. This development board provides a platform for developing systems around the advanced capabilities of the Stellaris LM3S9D96-IQC80-A2LM3S9D96-IQC80-A2 ARM Cortex-M3-based microcontroller. The LM3S9D96 LM3S9D96 is a member of the Stellaris Firestorm-class microcontroller family. Firestorm-class devices include capabilities such as 80 MHz clock speeds, an External Peripheral Interface (EPI) and Audio I2S interfaces.
In addition to new hardware to support these features, the DK-LM3S9D96DK-LM3S9D96 board includes a rich set of peripherals. The development board includes an on-board in-circuit debug interface (ICDI) that supports both JTAG and SWD debugging. A standard ARM 20-pin debug header supports an array of debugging solutions. The Stellaris DK-LM3S9D96DK-LM3S9D96 Development Kit accelerates the development of Firestorm-class microcontrollers. The kit also includes extensive example applications and complete source code.
The development kit contains all cables, software, and documentation needed to develop and run applications for Stellaris microcontrollers easily and quickly. The Stellaris DK-LM3S9D96DK-LM3S9D96 Development Kit features: StellarisWare Peripheral Library, USB Library, and Graphics Library in conjunction with ARM development tools from ARM tools partners.
The Texas Instruments LM3S9000 Series features an on-chip combination of 10/100 Ethernet MAC/PHY, USB On-The-Go/Host/Device, and Controller Area Network (CAN). In addition to several product enhancements, the LM3S9000 Series adds new features, such as a versatile External Peripheral Interface (EPI) with modes to support SDRAM, SRAM/Flash, Host-Bus, and M2M, an Integrated Interchip Sound (I2S) interface, simultaneous dual ADC capability, a second watchdog timer with independent clock for safety critical applications (supported by the IEC 60730 library addition to the StellarisWare Library), and a 16-MHz software-trimmed 1% Precision Oscillator.
Key Applications: Gaming equipment, Network appliances and switches, Home and commercial site monitoring and control, Electronic point-of-sale (POS) machines, Motion control, Medical instrumentation, Remote connectivity and monitoring, Test and measurement equipment, Factory automation, Fire and security, Lighting control, Transportation. | ||||||||||||
