Ender 3 pro

I have had my ender for about a year now and I just replaced the z motor on it the wires are good but when I try to home the motor just humms and doesn't move then a home error shows on screen and says reset printer is it a software issue help

    It sounds like the motor windings are not connected properly. Is it possible the connector orientation got swapped? Is it an identical motor? (same voltage and current requirement)

    I bought it straight from ender i have three z motors even tried the old motor same thing happens I put new wires the only thing I haven't is upgrade the firmware yet

    If you turn the motor by hand does the mechanism move freely?

    Do the motors work when they are not mechanically connected - just electrical connection?

    It sounds like something is binding up so the motor can't turn when connected mechanically. Is the mounting skewed or offset a bit? Is the mechanism free to move when turned by hand?

    Is there a limit switch activated, preventing motion?

    I have unscrewed and just set it on side and tried it same thing happens I think it's a software thing cause I try to just move another motor and they won't move at all

    It worked great until after I replaced the motor I am starting to think the mainboard
