Dear friend,

I am a new master's student, I need help with my master's project. I have a Digilent Arty - Artix-7 board. what kind of project I can research for 2 years?

Why did you join the Master's program? What would you like to learn deeper from your bachelor's degree?

Digilent Arty - Artix-7 is a powerful board. Please list all the peripherals on the boards and potential PMOD modules as the add-on peripherals. What is you goal for your master project? How much time will you invest on your projects? FPGA project can be very challenge and also very rewarded. You can use Aritx-7 board for robotics, vision application/FPGA accelerator, signal processing application, control system, and so on. One thing you might need to plan, how big will your project be? Can Artix-7 FPGA is big enough for your project? You also need to research the available FPGA IPs on Artix-7 and Xilinx tool chain. Good planning means half of the success of your project.

    Good luck on your research!

Going to repeat what I mentioned to someone else.

It's your research for your project. If you're finding it tough, then start simple with (say) a spider diagram of the broad subject or potential topic at the centre, and keep googling until you've ended up with a full page of topics/issues related to the subject area. Now you'll have a page full of research area topics and you'll better know where to look.

You're supposed to do research as part of your project, and use that to build up project/product requirements, write a project timeplan, write your high-level design, write how you'll test and measure performance, and also of course stick to your timeplan and execute : ) If you're really unsure, talk to your teacher/tutor but only after you have done your homework/initial research, otherwise you'll come across as totally unprepared (as you are now).
