Programming in the GalaxC Language rev 0.0j

This is the official reference and user guide for the GalaxC programming language, revision 0.0j.

For more information on GalaxC and XXICC, see the 'blog post XXICC (21st Century Co-design) release 0.0j and XXICC's home page: xxicc.org.

Revision 0.0j makes minor improvements and adds a table of contents.

Update 26 July 2014: There are no changes for XXICC rev 0.0k.

    Thank you for the compliments.  There are examples in GalaxC sample/demo programs rev 0.0j.  However, to look at the most fun examples, you have to run XOE since the examples have graphics.  I'll make a PDF listing of them later and upload it.

    Update: Here is a PDF listing so you don't need to install XXICC: GalaxC sample/demo program listings rev 0.0j.

    The simplest program is Hello, World, from code.google.com/p/xxicc/downloads/detail?name=compile00h.pdf:

        printf("Hello, world!\n");

    GalaxC doesn't need to explain <stdio.h> and main() like C.

    A really fun program is testdial.xoe (in demo00j.zip), which is described in Section 6.4 of The XXICC Anthology rev 0.0j.  It shows embedding dialog boxes in the source code instead of having to put them in a separate "resource" file.

    Hi John,

    Wow, it's a well-written document (to be honest the well-written aspect was to be expected, coming from you ;-) I wouldn't expect anything less : )  I can see it will take some time to study it. Have you got a quick program example? I'm sure it is among all the wealth of material you have uploaded (been out all day, not had a chance to look at the remainder posts yet).
