About Digilent
Since 2000, Digilent (a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Instruments) has provided embedded engineers, researchers, scientists, and students with cost-optimized products, tools, and application information for innovative, FPGA and SoC-based hardware-software systems. Their customizable and flexible solutions will accelerate development time for even the most experienced professionals, while maintaining low barrier to entry for advancing engineers, students, and the perpetually curious. From their competitive pricing to the portability of their products and comprehensive documentation, they value delivering accessibility and lowering barriers to progress for their customers. Digilent products are used throughout the world. Based in Pullman, Washington, they have offices, R&D, and manufacturing across three continents, as well as an extensive global distribution network, so their customers can get the products they need as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. They specialize primarily in Xilinx-based FPGA/SoC development boards and kits and portable USB test and measurement devices, all designed to be owned by and used from an engineer's or student's desk. They also offer a variety of expansion modules (Pmods and Zmods) to create flexible I/O options for their other products.

Digilent Cmod S7: The Digilent Cmod S7 is a small, 48-pin DIP form factor board, populated with 36 pins, built around a Xilinx Spartan-7 FPGA that brings FPGA power and prototyping to a solderless breadboard. The Spartan-7 FPGA on the Cmod S7 fits performance into a small form-factor packaging. With the MicroBlaze Soft Processor Core from Xilinx, you can create embedded applications with a variety of peripherals, memory, and interfaces. The board includes a Quad-SPI flash for programming, as well as a USB-JTAG programming circuit and USB-UART bridge. The Cmod S7 also features a clock source, Pmod port, and onboard I/O with LEDs and pushbuttons. There are 32 FPGA I/O signals, 2 FPGA analog input signals, an external power input rail, and ground that are routed to 100-mil-spaced through-hole pins, making the Cmod S7 compatible with solderless breadboards. This form factor makes the Cmod S7 a great option for flexible and affordable prototyping, or learning FPGA and digital logic circuits. At just .7" by 3.05", it can also be loaded in a standard socket and used in embedded systems.
