This series of blogs will cover the Konker Connection project as it progresses. This project is an entry in the IoT on Wheels Design Challenge - thanks to element14 and ST Microelectronics for selecting my proposal. I think my Konker Connection proposal is accessible here.
I'm sure this project will be lots of fun because I get to combine my love of riding motorcycles with my love of electronics. It is also going to be a great learning experience as I have never used Nucleo products before, I have never used LoRa radios before, and The fuel gauge I want to develop is not something that can be purchased - it will have to be developed from physics principles.
The kit just arrived, so here is an unboxing video which also covers some of the parts I have been purchasing to complete the system:
I also narrated a quick verbal description of the system features here:
The next steps will include:
- getting the software development system working
- research into my fuel gauge technology
- design of the LCD and fuel gauge schematics and circuit card
I need to start thinking about packaging as well.
