Back when I was young I was always creating things I had a huge passion for art and anything creative. I have tried everything under the sun when it comes to art it's just a beautiful way to bring something completely blank to life.
My interest in electronics started at a young age hanging out at the arcade then Radio Shack to listen to the old guys talk about all the new technology that just came out and I would browse the endless wall of components and read through the books.
Taking things apart was so much fun and thankfully it ran in the family my Grandfather was a huge inspiration to me when it came to learning and seeing how things worked the best thing of all was he taught me the process of taking anything apart and putting it back together and never having any parts left over so if you see random rows of parts on my bench you know they are in order for reassembly later.
I have a huge passion for making and helping out at my local maker space when I can. I have even ran a Raspberry Pi for Beginners course there.
I love to push the limits on my creativity all the time sometimes some really amazing things are created. I do post a lot of things on youtube for learning as if I found it useful and if it helps at least one person either a repair video or a tutorial video then its all worth it.
With most of my projects you will probably see a raspberry pi not to far away as I tend to use them for everything. Occasionally we will crack out other boards depending on what the project demands.
Gam3t3ch Electronics was a repair shop I ran for many years out of the house fixing everything I could get my hands on (started as video game consoles) and there was some pretty interesting things that came through my door. Eventually I shut the doors on the shop and proceeded to make video's and content to help others. Plus I was really tired of fixing cellphones and tablets.
I started hanging out reading all the posts and reading about all the new things coming out on element14.com I thought I would start with a roadtest and then I moved up to project14 and then finally to design challenges. It's a pretty amazing community and I have learnt so much on here.
