I agree - removing velcro leaves glue behind, however my thinking is that the velcro disk/coin/square on the code bug would be permanent - fixed to the battery holder.

If your search for Velcro 25mm squares, you should find a suitable item

I use almost intensively velcro adhesive belts and rounded ones but after you have put this damn glue of the adhesive side somewhere is it very difficult to remove in the future. And as much time passes, as more the velcro adhere. I think it is not so healthy for the back (I suppose you think to glue the back side image ) of the circuit...

    I have a suggestion.

DIY stores sell self adhesive Velcro "coins".

I use some to use the same number plate on 2 trailers and a bike carrier.

You could stick one half to the code bug, then the other one to a ready made badge.

This would also let you move the code bug to anything else where you can stick Velcro.

The Hot Glue didn't last out the day, She came home with both CodeBug and safety Pin but they were no longer together.

I told the School in advance that she would be bringing it in (more of an effort to get them to appreciate micro-controllers than an anti-bomb issue). Every time I hear them talk proudly about their I-Pads I think of how many Raspberry Pi's they could have had for the same budget and I shudder a little.

(and I'm really not a fan of I-Pads, unless someone has received an eye injury).

You could go one better than that and follow Mike R's work with the Bluno Beetle.

He's translated the CodeBug Python Libraries into Arduino libraries and attached a small Arduino (the Bluno beetle) to a CodeBug via I2C, so he can use bluetooth to control a (wearable) CodeBug.

Just make sure she has an explanation for it. Apparently, 'it's just a clock' isn't good enough.

for a class in computer and electronics engineering I would use the example of the codebug on the rPI to illustrate the inner workings of the i2c bus.
