Celebrate the Year of the Ox - Lunar New Year on the element14 Community

Happy Lunar New Year !image

This year of the zodiac ushers in the Year of the Ox.

Putting the Ox before the Cart

People have often said I'm a bit bullish, if you're the type of person to follow the lighthearted nature of zodiac signs you might put credence of that down to the fact that I'm a Taurus in the alternative astrological star signs. Future predicting is more something I put down to trend charts and graphs created from empirical data and behaviours rather than tea leaves and where the Earth is in situation to the planets though!

In the Chinese zodiac though, it's no surprise that the Ox is similarly associated with diligence, dependability, strength, determination and faithfulness - and attaching great importance to learning and education!

Each year the zodiac also associates an element with the animal, and this year is no exception being the year of the metal Ox, hardworking, and popular among friends - what better for a Community?

The Best Career for the Ox ?

You will probably not be surprised here, but if you're an Ox, you make a good Engineer...

As the symbol of hard work, Ox people always work hard at everything and stick to finishing it. Possessing a serious and responsible attitude toward work, they can come up with different approaches to their task.

With a keen eye for details and an admirable work ethic, they are competent in such careers as agriculture, manufacturing, pharmacy, mechanics, engineering, draftsmanship, artistry, politics, real estate, interior design, painting, carpentry, or quarry work.

With a stubborn temperament, they find it easy to bear stress and tension, and they are reluctant to reveal themselves to others. Proper relaxation and regular short trips will benefit the Ox. Source.

Celebrate with Us

You have seven days! As part of the celebrations of this time of the year, every member of the element14 Community should be receiving a gift for each day they log in for the next seven days, a red envelope badge containing rewarding points to their account.image

The following AI courses were a great overview of the general topic:

I actually quite liked the first installment of Digital Logic since it bought back a lot of memories when I used to teach the basics of digital logic to university students:

    Programmable Devices I: Programmable Logic
